Advent Painting #3 - Nativity Silhouette

December 14 - Started with prepping the blue and white background. New technique with is painting by wetting the canvas. So much better! I will have to remember this one. I need also to remember to bring down my brushes that are upstairs!! So now I am waiting for the canvas to fully dry; Don’t take long but I will play again tomorrow.

December 16 - Well, Second try on this painting. I attempted to paint the star shine rays and well, Yuck!! is all I can say. So I decided to paint over and try again. I am back to letting the canvas dry overnight again so that it dries completely. But I do like my background so much better than the last.

My week was rather busy and I didn’t have as much time to work on this painting. So things were done in bits and pieces, so the star shine was done on Friday, December 19 and the stable on Saturday and finally the palm tree was completed Monday December 22.

It was a fun little painting to do, it was simple and I did learn something too, which is always a good thing!!
