Well, My Ride is Here!!

Sitting waiting to board my plane, I hear many accents from all around the world. Some going home and some heading off on their next adventure. Excitement, longing and probably a bit of fear of did we get here on time?

Me . . . looking forward to getting home. I have lots to do this coming week. But I will miss this years adventure. It was a great week, lots of fun, food and friends who I will miss greatly. It was a fabulous week at the retreat in the Highlands. I always come away with tonnes of ideas, creative and otherwise.

So many things in life are a quick thoughts and then just as quickly I have gone on to something else. I guess in a way it keeps things fresh and exciting. But I think it is time to try and grab some of those “things” and give them a good try.

While sitting on the tram back out to the airport, I was thinking just how different things are in Edinburgh, how things are old . . . have been standing for a thousand years. And then I look around at all the people on the tram at 8am, heading to work, to school, to the airport . . . Etc Etc. And realized that they are not so different . . . A Monday morning is a Monday morning anywhere.

The skies are blue and bright this morning it will be a beautiful day, today. I am about to do something that many humans want to do . . . Go Back In Time!! Yeah I know not really but I do gain about 7 hours and a little bit of extra time!!

Today is the beginning of fall in the Northern Hemisphere. Summer slipped away quietly and went out the back door to give Autumn the centre of attention. I look forward to the fall colours and cool fresh air in the mornings. Time will tell what Winter has to say but it can’t be stopped just like you can’t stop of the sun from shining or the rain falling. Enjoy the fall days, absorb the sun rays and the last of the summer breezes.

Well, boarding will begin soon. People sitting and mingling around wait for the 8hr party to begin. Soon, my home will be in view and a good cup of coffee in hand.

Always exciting to travel but just as exciting to be home!
