Roll & Snap!

Today, I had decided that this will be the last posting for Sharples Elevator on film.

Sharples Grain Elevator is scheduled to be demolished sometime soon. So I wanted to go out there at least once before it disappeared. And I thought it would be. fun to photograph it using film.

I thought it would be a special way of preserving the experience of the visit. The elevator is about 100 years old, tucked in along the Knee Hills Creek.

The Proud Elevator

The prairie grasses blow, under a bright blue sky.
Tall on the land, the elevator stands.
Proud and Grand, symbol of days gone by.
Proof of prosperity, once held by a small town.
Now, a ghost of their former selves.
Still a thing of beauty, out on the open prairie.
