Spring Grows Slowly

Spring grows slowly on the Canadian prairies.
Bits of yellow and tiny crocuses poke their noses above the soil. Is the sun shining, is the snow almost gone.
Have all the little birds returned home yet?

The robins sing to find their soulmate.
Their little hearts filled with joy when the spring rains come.

The grass is green and there is the first green haze on the trees.
Spring comes slow on the Canadian prairies, this is so we can enjoy it just a touch longer.
