Top 12 of the Year

It was still cold in March, nothing new for Calgary or the prairies really.  So I looked for some different spots to go and shoot.  One if the ideas I had was to visit city hall and see what they had in their display cases.  The light was dancing around in the cases creating funny light and dark spots and I dropped my f-stop and blurred out the background just enough to melt it all together but kept the hands in focus.   I instantly loved the image before I even got it off my camera.  I did these images in color but I could see it in black & white before the edit.
