Winter Trees

Calgary had its first true day of winter this week. The snow shovels at the ready and oh where are my winter boots? I am not ready, well to be truly honest I am never ready!!

The magpie calls “Winter is Here”
Snow covered limbs
The last few leaves hanging on
Autumn is done and the long nights are ahead
The first blast of winter has arrived
Are we ready, Never!! but here it comes anyway
