To celebrate the fact that the Snowies have returned to the Canadians within the last couple of weeks I thought I would share my Snowy Owl Painting. Isn’t she beautiful!! For the first try, I thought I did a not to bad of a job. I love owls and have been privelaged to not only see Snowy Owls but several other types here on the prairies.

I thought I would show a few stages of this painting. Now I had painted the background of the painting a while ago and then walked away for awhile partly because I needed a few supplies but also needed to figure out where to get some carbon paper. Well, always ask my Aunt, she know many things including including where to find carbon paper!! And after that I was off again.

I have noticed the more I paint little things and try different things that I may need to invest in some good brushes. Some detail brushes for outlining etc. And more colours!! Ohh and the list goes on and on. I didn’t think that I would enjoy this “painting thing” as much as mine.
