Week 37

  • Sunday, September 7

Thought of the Day: Running Thoughts … Run on and on. I think it is time to quiet my mind. The on running thoughts of things to do. Doesn’t matter home many lists I make there is always more to add. Sometimes, I feel I will never catchup.

    Things to do
    Places to Go
    Photos to Make
    Painting to Paint
    People to meet
    Work to Do

I am so looking forward to getting away. I hope to rest a bit and clear my mind.

  • Monday, September 8

Busy day getting everything organized to go. I feel like I am so behind or that I have forgotten something. And yet, I think I have everything I want done, basically.

I am just stressing over nothing, really. I can see more and more my mom in me. Worrying over nothing. At least I come by it honestly.

  • Tuesday, September 9

Last day of work, Thank Goodness!! Its been a long haul. Somehow, I need to figured out a better balance without quitting, haha!!

I need to attempt to find a few more things to do in the evenings. Not sure exactly what yet. With out over tiring myself. I don’t function will on lack of sleep.

And Thursdays, I should really get out for a while with my camera. Simple walks just to see what I could see before winter arrives and I start to hide again!!

I think maybe I should sit down and do a bit of a list of the things that interest me. What I want to do, what will fulfill my time well and productively.

I need to start working on some of the house stuff as well, the never ending house stuff!

And Oh Yes, lets not forget painting. It is been such fun and always looking forward to the next painting.

Also, don’t forget about Walking 17th Ave. Yes, I want to finish this project. I need to sit down and think about some of the other projects that I want to work on. I have truly enjoyed play and working with film. It is such a cool medium.

Well, my next entry will be from Scotland. I am down to my last few hours before leaving. And then the fun begins. I can’t wait to meet all my other Retreatees this year.

  • Wednesday, September 10

Pack, Unpack, sort, resort, second, third and fourth time - second guessing myself. Wow it was a long day. So undecided this year. I think it is time to get away, time for reset.

Finally, just closed the suitcase and camera bag and say if I don’t have it I don’t need it. I can alway wash clothes. or go by something. The world won’t end, I am sure!

Made it to the airport, no problem. Found a bite to eat and a bottle of water and went to find a quiet comfy spot. Only to find out my flight was delayed by an hour. Oh well, such as life. It wasnt to bad, started bounding about 730p instead of 630p.

I slept most of my flight which is what I was hoping for. Food was a little better this time as well.

  • Thursday, September 11

Like I said, the flight was good. And the on to the next adventure, Where is my bus? But first the tram. Well, that was a breeze and on top of it all I have paid for my return ticket already so I am set for heading back to the airport. Nice when things like that happen.

The bus was easy breezy too! Only one transfer at Perth which I had to stay awake for and then the next bus, I slept!!

Nothing truly exciting happened bu it was a good day.

My room is nice. And the bed is comfy. Went for a bit of a alk and found some food. And then crawled into bed early!

  • Friday, September 12

Busy Busy day that started not so early. I planned a slow start and happy I did so. I left quite rested and recouped from my travels to Scotland and up to Inverness.

Today, I went Nessie Hunting. Ok, Ok Bad Joke. However, it was a lovely cruise out on Loch Ness. Views were beautiful. Well worth the trip out.

Come back into the city and did a bit of exploring. Took a lovely walk along the river back up to where I am staying.

Spend the evening relaxing and catching up a bit. I will have lots to share in time.

  • Saturday, September 13

Well, when in Rome! However. how could I come yet again to Inverness and not go to Loch Ness. I was well wind blown adventure out on Loch Ness, the waters were very dark but the high glen hills are rather interesting. The cruise was about 2 hours long and went by the old castle on one of the hillside cliffs.

Evening out with friends and good food and good conversation. Perfect way to end the day.
