Random Thoughts ~ 2025

Week 39

  • Sunday, September 21

I played the “Silly Tourist” and took the Off-On Bus. There are 3 options to this very touristy thing and I took the Regal Tour .. sounds sazzy right, well actually I was on all of the other tours but this one. I wanted to go to the coast and for a few moments around the Leith. All the old warehouse buildings turned into restaurants, hotels and many other businesses. There were some interesting boats and barges in the canal. The thoughts of having a boat or barge life is intriguing to this prairie girl, but it makes me wonder at times.

    Impressions of a Tram

Busy at 8am. As I walk from the hotel, up the street and around the corner of Queen street and on to Fredrick Street. The morning was a lite by beautiful sunlight. Would of been perfect photographic morning!

Slowly worked my way to the station on Prince Street, surrounded by buses, people and suitcases all on their way to somewhere. Trying to absorb the last few minutes in this amazing city. The vibes are so different, vibrant, colourful, full of life. I have only explored bits and pieces of tis city. I know there is so much more to offer.

Well, back to reality. Clothes to be wash, bathrooms to be cleaned. And what to make for supper!! All those things and more!!

But I did make it to the next meeting for Artscape and thing seem to be running along well. I now have a month and a bit before the show is on. So I have work to do to get a few things set up for Santa photos and what I going to display on my table. I have thoughts regarding the images, it is now time to put those thoughts into actions.

It really was a very uneventful Tuesday. Jetlag kick in and left me wanting and needing a Nap!!

  • Wednesday, September 24

Nothing of great excitement … Groceries to get and bread pudding to make. This was a bit of a catchup day, I didn’t have a huge amount of jetlag, felt some today so decided to just take it easy and rest.

Have spent the last couple of days fight with my TV & Internet provider and still things are not the way they should be and now will not be fixed until October 8th.

I have been thinking how much I miss my little black and white TV, I had when I was a kid and yes that is how old I am!! The simpler times. You didn’t have a 100 channels, you had 3 channels plus the french channel and that was it! They big worry was if I made it home at lunch in time to watch the Flintstones.

  • Friday, September 26

Not alot accomplished however I worked some on my old desk area . . . getting rid of paper, junk and items that needed to go back to their original homes. It is all prep work being done for the installation of a new modem and tv boxes as well as the furniture cleaning coming up in early November. Other than that, not to much else exciting happened. I did make supper . . . Sheperds’s Pie . . . wasn’t to bad!!
