Exciting Things

I have been lacking a creative outlet. Yes, I have photography, painting, my attempt at writing and other bits & pieces. And a few other things that I am working on. At the beginning of this month, I decided to apply for an artist residency. I have been asked before but I always felt like I didn’t have anything truly to offer. But I think I have been looking at this opportunity the wrong way. Its what they are offering to me. The learning opportunity, the meeting of new and interesting people, the possibility of this leading to something bigger.

I have reached a point in life were something new needs to grow and be nurtured. Life is much to short to never experience new things, to watch it grow, to fail and to grow again and to be successful.

I have skills, abilities that I do not get to use. So I hope I can start to use them, to refresh them, to add to them.
