Advent Painting #4 - Winter Solstice Painting of the Long Winter Night

December 22 - I started a bit late on this painting. Time got away from me this past week. I am sure everyone has the same problem at this time of year. I was able to carve out about 15-20mins to paint the background on Monday. I just love the blues and white and just a tad bit of green in the background, really makes it cold and snowy feeling.

December 26 - Boxing Day and I thought that today is the day to work on my painting. I have added a bit more to the background. And the beginnings of the snowflakes, the snow covered hills are now painted in giving some depth. And the winter full moon is peaking through the tree branches. My moon is a bit off or maybe lopsided but It adds character. The fir trees have been add and I think they look like trees, I think!!

December 28 - The little house was added today and than all the touch up work was done today. A few more snowflakes and some shadow work.
