Create Today

The Last Post for 2025 - 365 Project

This is the last post for my Create Today - 365 Project for 2025. I thought I would share my last images of the year and my thoughts on how the project went. As well, as my top 12 images from this project, one image from each month.

I swore I was never doing another 365!! It isn’t as easy as it sounds, yes I know it just one photo a day. But it is hard, you need ideas, you need to decide if you want to do a themed challenge or is it going to be random? Do you follow the rules to the letter or do you create your own rules. Etc Etc and so now.

I had my arm twisted to do this years 365, “Oh you can use your cellphone, it will be easy!” So I said yes, still not any easier with a cellphone camera. But I decided to give it a good try and all of sudden it was March and I was the only one from about 30 people who all started in January. Some weeks were easy because there was holidays and other weeks were a struggle to keep going. And I will admit sometimes I had to play catchup because there truly was nothing to make a photo of.

It was an accomplishment this year. Many different types of images, some are interesting and some not so much but that is the way it goes sometimes. Not sure if I will continue this style of project into 2026, I may do so on a monthly basics to keep the creative juices flowing.

December 28 - 362/365 - History

Not sure if it is my completely favourite but It is one of my intriguing photos or actually it is a photocopy of an old photo. I have a better one somewhere. I have alot of cleaning and organizing that needs doing someday!!

This is a family that didnt all make it out of Russia when things changed. Some did however make it to Germany so that is why I know a tiny bit about them.

Karl Muller and Magdalena Eberle with their children; Marianna, Leopold, Ignatz, Magdalena and Katherina.

Some of these folks end up in Siberia, some were murdered and some escaped. At the moment, I can't remember who. I did once find them in records of what happened to them all. Something else I need to refresh my memory about.

December 29 - 363/365 - Cardinal Painting

A little under the weather for the last couple of days and decided just to stay in, rest and re-coup. I came across this little painting of a cardinal and decided to give it a try. I will share the finished painting in another blog post.

December 30 - 364/365 - Fallen

As I was coming home from work the other day, I notice the cranapple in the snow along with the melting snow patterns. Just thought it was interesting.
