Holidays Hooray!! Day 5

Ohhh! The experience!! To see and then to translate it to paper.  The red light, the small of the chemicals, the anticipation.  Something comes alive, a living breathing thing.  To shoot film is such a different feeling, a different process, a different way of thinking.  You can’t be click happy, each press of the shutter needs to be well thought out.

I shot a roll of 25 frames, and was able to enjoy the process of developing in the Darkroom.  I can see growth in my images over the three years.  I have had the privilege of working in the Inverness Darkroom with Matt.  This year I had well exposed and in focus images. I think I now have a much better understanding of the process and was amazed that I remembered some of it.

I am truly happy with what I created.  I can see that I have grown, the fear of doing something wrong isn't there anymore.  The fear of failure isn't there anymore, I have learned to enjoy the process.  I am not perfect but why be perfect, that is boring.
