Painting in the Garden

Creative Sundays

One of the last little things I did while I was on holidays in early June was to go down to The Confluence and take a mini-workshop on watercolour painting. It is in a lovely setting in The Confluence’s Garden!! Now how perfect, to be surrounded by the beginnings of a vegetable garden and the bees busy about their very important business.

I have taken another workshop with Claire, last fall. She is great .. a free spirit .. shows you how to do a few basic technics and then she say just play and see what you can create!! Perfect, just the way I like to do things!!

With recent memories fresh in my mind of visiting Newfoundland and Bird Rock out at Cape St. Mary’s it became my inspiration for this little watercolour painting. It was such fun and simple. Its not fancy or exact, its what I saw from a distance. The skies where clear and blue and the ocean was big and wide and ever so deep blue! It was a fantastic day!!
