Short Eared Owl

At the end of a great day out insearch of all things with wings, we were treated to one last amazing find. A little Short Eared Owl, who looked like he had just woke from a days’ rest. He popped up to sun himself before sunset and the beautiful golden light hit him just right. I think it the sun didn’t come out just at that time, I don’t think we would of seen him.
