I started this painting, ages and ages ago and I decided that I really should finish it. It is a piece I started when my mom with still with us, she was the painter not I and when she passed I didn’t have the heart to finish it. But when the last round of gloomy weather in early March blow in and I thought, “Well, to cold to head out for a photowalk, lets see how else I could be creative". That was when I decide that maybe I should finish this painting.

Spring takes a long long time to get going here in Southern Alberta and I really was and still am missing color in the world. So I thought why not something really bright and colorful. The darker colors are still in the painting because of spring still has its darker days but the potential of bright days are not far off
