Guardian of the Lighthouse

Sunday, September 10, 2023 - A slow start to the day which was great. It was a bit rainy and wet but the sun did come out later on in the day.

Now you have found Chanonry Point and (perhaps!) seen your bottlenose dolphins, we hope you will stay for a while.  The Black Isle is also famous for its gentle landscape and friendly locals.

Chanonry Lighthouse is situated on the Black Isle, south of Rosemarkie, as the Moray Firth narrows between Chanonry Point and Fort George. It was established in 1846 by Alan Stevenson.
