On Guard!!!

This Male Red Winged Black Bird was on guard duty at the first pond coming in to Pearce Estate Park. There were many baby red wings, in the reeds, waiting for Mom to bring them breakfast. This little guy was not impressed with me hanging out and trying to get photos of feeding time.

Mr. Red-Wing would march back and forward across the entrances of the boardwalk, giving attitude and making all sorts of noise!! His friend was up in the tree near by surveying the surrounding area and dive bombing me a few times, so I knew who was boss!!

It was an experience for sure!! Need to remember a hat!! Ha Ha
