You Can’t See Me, Said The Little Ground Squirrel

Banff, Alberta

Well, I think my little Saturday adventure to Banff was a success. It was a beautiful day. The weather was fine with a few raindrops but other than that it was really good.

I spent quite a bit of time wandering along the Bow River. found baby geese or goslings, I should say. As well as many other little birds. However the highlight was this little ground squirrel who figured I couldn't see him hiding behind that tree stump. I stood there for probably 10 minutes watching and waiting in hopes that he would come back out but he didn't. He just sat there and watched me and eventually he did move off into the taller grass and I could no longer see him.
